If you want to taste Moravian wines, you’ll need to visit and experience with the winemakers themselves - the majority is consumed in Czech Republic & only a tiny fraction is exported I was fortunate to personally taste with a handful of exception winemakers, including Tomáš Čačík’s wines produced from a tiny estate of just a few hectares. Top wine production varieties in Moravia are Müller-Thurgau, Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Riesling & Sauvignon Blanc, & while Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are only 4% of planted varieties I was surprising to discover they thrive in this terroir.
